Meet the people already in the room.

A café is full of people you will never speak to. MingTag is the bit in between — scan the QR on your table, see who else is here, and say hello.

Free. No ads. Nothing to fill in before you can look around.

A café floor in MingTag A plan of five tables seen from above, each ringed by its chairs. Filled chairs are taken and empty ones are free; Table 5 has nobody at it. Your table is picked out at the left, and a dashed line runs from it to Table 4 — a connection request on its way. Table 2 Table 4 Table 6 free Table 5 You · Table 1

How it works

Three steps, about a minute

No profile to build, no swiping, nobody to search for. Just the room you are sitting in.

1

Scan your table

Every table has a QR sticker. Scanning it puts you on the café's map. Until you scan, nobody can see you at all.

2

See who is here

A live view of the room — who is at which table, what they are into, and whether they are open to being approached.

3

Ask before you chat

Send a connection request. Nothing opens until they accept, so nobody gets messages they did not agree to.

Safety

Built for a room full of strangers

Everything here follows from that one fact.

Consent first

Nobody can message you without a request you accepted. Declining is silent, and blocking is never rate-limited — it is how you get away from someone, so it always works.

You choose what shows

A nickname and an avatar, both yours to pick. Sign in with Google and it starts you off with that account's name and photo, which you can change at any time.

Only while you are there

You appear on the map when you scan a table and disappear when you leave. Your conversations do not — those carry on.

Live location is a separate choice

Being on the café map is not the same as sharing where you are. Live location is its own switch: off until you turn it on, and off for every connection until you choose to turn them on, one at a time. It keeps working while MingTag is closed, and you can stop it for one person, or for everyone, the moment you want to.

Look around as a guest

No account needed to use it. Sign in with Google or Apple when you want the account to survive losing the phone.

Report and block

Both are one tap from any profile or conversation, and the café owner sees what is reported in their own panel.

Adults only

MingTag is for people aged 18 and over. It is not a dating app, a marketplace, or a place to advertise.

For café owners

Your floor, in real time

MingTag runs on your own floor plan. Print the QR stickers, and the panel shows you the room as it fills — which tables are taken, who is in, and anything guests report.
